There are many reasons to celebrate our amazing planet. Beautiful portraits created in nature is one way in which we celebrate. Feeling the light, the green grass of spring, the sand on the beach and kids summertime love of swimming in our underwater sessions!

Additional ways in which here at Sharyn Peavey Photography we are mindful:

♻️Recycle all material that is recyclable

🍌Compost

🌎 Monthly contributions to Environment Maine. Environment Maine lobbies to protect Maine waters, clean air and more! Maine water is one of our state's most valuable natural resources and is a major tourist attraction.  Like you, we want to keep Maine waters clean so that generation after generation will continue to enjoy them! This has been my inspiration for underwater sessions

ECO Friendly Resources

Here in southern Maine we have Eco Maine. Eco Maine is one of the leading waste facility operations in the country. In fact other countries have come over to Maine to check out all the awesomeness that they do. Their website is a great resource for all things recycling!

Tips on recycling!
Paper, cardboard and paper board are the easiest materials to recycle. They are lightweight to transport and there are many facilities to process them.

Note: Glass bottles are often not getting recycled unless they have the five or ten cent returnable labels on them. It is  expensive to ship a truckload of glass. Please check with your facility and put your returnables in the proper returnable bins such as clynk or your nearby redemption center

Tips on purchasing!

Purchase cardboard when you can! Did you know that you can get more washes out of a box of cascade and a box of Tide then with liquid detergent found in a plastic bottle. Yes it’s true! Note the recommended amounts, and save!

Happy Earth Day to you!

Stylish outerwear! Check out Noize. Noize produces clothing from recycled plastic!

Household Electric

20 to 30% of household electric bills can be attributed to the dryer! Drying a portion of your clothing on a clothing rack and or outside is an  environmentally friendly way to save on your electric bill and reduced energy usage.

If you have any environmentally, friendly tips, please send them our way!

Every little bit of good intention goes a long way. Do not get discouraged!
